Using a WiFi Pineapple, he cloned legitimate SSIDs and redirected users to phishing pages that harvested credentials and personal content.

AFP is urging the public to stay cautious with free WiFi - disable auto-connect, use a VPN, and avoid entering personal details on captive portals.
