Totally! Standing in line I finally saw it & looked at my family & asked if they knew about this. They weren't sympathetic & said I should have looked beforehand.

As soon as we were flat on our backs being hauled up a completely vertical, super-tall rail, I was screaming a bit.

Then looking down, we were not only going to go straight down, but even back - negative slope!

But I survived & would probably do it again!

Just rode this! I should've looked before I got on! Fun despite the terror!

Since @[email protected] is watching Vincenzo, I thought I'd post the photos again, with more explanation, from what I think might be the plaza from the drama.

The map shows the area around the hotel I stayed the last week of my trip. The hotel connected to a mostly elevated walkway that runs nearly north & south. It crosses over the Cheonggyecheon & ends in the north at a large park.

The area is interesting because it has very new & modern buildings along with tiny alleys with run down buildings containing many tiny shops - some having tarp roofs, right next to each other. There were 3 major construction projects going on around the hotel. Just a note - at no time, even walking down dark, tiny alleys at night did it feel unsafe to me. It was actually kind of cozy.

It looks like Sewoon Plaza used to be a place for electronics enthusiasts & tinkerers to find parts & resources. It has a great vibe, but it's obvious that the area will be redeveloped soon.

Don't these look like the buildings / plaza from "Vincenzo"?

I thought my #kDrama friends might appreciate the ridiculous number of stairs and the beautiful playground I came across in Busan.

Apr 8: The tour stayed at the very nice L7 Hotel a few minutes from Haeundae Beach. First, we visited Gamcheon Cultural Village. The colorful houses, artists, great murals, & souvenir shops were fun. We stopped at BIFF (Busan International Film Festival) plaza to see the stars' handprints. We also learned how to make some fun rice cakes with a famous rice cake shop owner.

Apr. 7 (continued) We had dinner at the Gamhae Cafe overlooking the ocean. Our hotel was a 5 min walk to the beach. Although it was windy and a bit chilly, some buskers were out. There is a really nice park near the beach too.

Apr. 7 - On the tour's 1st day, we took a bus to Busan, stopping at a couple of rest stops - sausage & rice cakes on a stick! We visited the UN Memorial Cemetery. It was very somber & touching. We rode the Songdo Sea cable car for beautiful views. The Little Prince has a whole world there. (continued...)
