Anyone in Seattle want some apples for baking, cider-making, other? I have ~30 gallons on my two trees, granny smith and gala. You'll have to cut and core them; coddling moths have done a number, but the flesh is still good.

I'd love to trade 5 gallons of fresh apples for the promise of a pie, some cider, or whatever other homemade foodstuffs you make (with said apples or otherwise).

West Seattle, near Whitecenter. We can pick them together, bring your own bucket, takes about 10min to fill a bucket.

Attached: 2 images Started picking apples from my trees, here's the first five gallons. I'm super stoked, some of them don't have coddling moths in them this year. ...Maybe 25%. Which is still an improvement over 0% last year! Cored and de-wormed (same action, with moths) about a gallon this morning, making some apple butter. The whole house smells like cinnamon and cloves right now. ...now I need to figure out what to do with the other four gallons. And the next 20 still on the tree. It'd be easier if I loved apples, but I kinda only like them a little. ^^;; #seattle #gardening

FYI local authorities say a National Gaurd training excersize will be taking place today and tomorrow 10am to 2pm in Seattle's White Center neighborhood.

The drill is claimed to be planned between WA National Guard and the Seattle Fire Department and local first responders say the low flying helicopters are NOT working in conjunction with any Trump immigration raids etc.

Unfortunately today there weren't many people around when ICE showed up. Community took a handful of minutes to show up and in that time ICE had escaped with their kidnapping victim.
