I’m just going over the cast of #WhiskeyCavalier and I’m just now realizing that every member of the main cast except for one fits into traditional racial and gender stereotypes.

#ScottFoley and #LaurenCohan, the white members of the cast, are both the main characters and romantically involved. The tech guy, played by #VirDas, is an Indian. #TylerJamesWilliams, who plays the comic relief character, is a black dude. The only person who doesn’t fit neatly into stereotypes is #AnaOrtiz, who plays an #FBI profiler.

I get that #WhiskeyCavalier is already cancelled, so this is a bit of kicking them while they're down; But! whoever wrote "College Confidential" needs to update their tech references, like a decade ago.

A spy is trying to upload 8.5TB of data. They say ~"To send that much data they'd need a T3 and the only place with that bandwidth is the library!"

A T3 connection (a bonded set of 28 T1 connections) is only ~45Mbps. This is piddly compared to the average college dorm room connection today.

Then they show a computer with an external hard drive using USB 2 (Theoretical max speed: ~480Mbps), uploading to a service at 1857.39Mbps.

They also state "This file transfer is going to be over in 30 seconds!" In reality, it would take in excess of 10 hours.

Somebody, please, do the math. Or at least Google it.

Seeing any of those actors in anything else just brings back to mind the tragedy of that show’s cancellation
