SOCIALLY LIBERAL, FISCALLY CONSERVATIVE

Was it in 2020 or maybe earlier that people who took this position ran for public office on a revived Whig Party ticket? Correct me if my memory is wrong, but it seems to me a couple people were elected to the Pennsylvania legislature as Whigs.

If this, from Ballotpedia, is correct, the modern Whig Party keeps on keeping on in the Alliance Party.

"The Modern Whig Party was a political party organized in 2008 by a group of veterans.[1] In 2019, the party merged with the American Moderates Party and the American Party of South Carolina to form the Alliance Party.[2]"

I hope this doesn't go too far off topic. It does seem to me that members of this modern Whig Party said they liked the social liberal and fiscal conservative views of the nineteenth century Whig Party.
