It's a trending today film, so I started watching #Mantis out of curiosity. Because it's not something I'd normally pick. Especially if it was Hollywood. But I'm enjoying the concept, because there's a very Korean side to it all. I am watching it in small sections though ( 3) and will watch the last half hour when I'm less tired.

When Life Gives You Tangerines raconte une de ces très belles histoires, et le fait avec soin. Avec un casting (principal et secondaire) impressionnant, qui joue juste. De belles images. Et une très belle écriture (histoire et dialogues).
Ça en fait un drama excellent et passionnant.
Néanmoins, à titre personnel, il m'a manqué un petit quelque chose sur la fin qui m'aurait permis de continuer de "vibrer avec" mais ce n'est pas grave, c'était très bien quand même.
So here I go: trying #TheFirstFrost and probably the first thing I miss are the narrow alleys of Seoul and Jeju Island 🤣 So I just need to get over that, and Soju.

( I have one episode of #kdrama #whenlifegivesyoutangerines left, but I see it's very long, so I'm not starting that this time of night. I've certainly cracked on with it now summer is over. So the: "what next?" question hangs. Should I try a Chinese historical drama if I'm reaching out to the local Hong Kong community moving here? I didn't really enjoy a Japanese one I started watching)

While watching #whenlifegivesyoutangerines I was proud of my #kpop knowledge to recognise this song, and know it's context/ importance in the story of K-pop. Thinking back four years when I was trying to read about Korea history and culture and it was so hard to find anything ( in UK ) I hope there's more knowledge now for anyone exploring the genre after seeing #kpopdemonhunters
