Eight weeks after my cousin Wendy was run over she's slowly learning to walk again on her completely reconstructed foot/ankle/leg.

Today we went out to 'walk' her doggy, Otter. We had to call in at the pub for a cheeky glass. 🍷 She felt human again!

I’m going to contact Etech but I’m not gonna hold my breath that they’d offer another replacement.

Trying not to freak out because we were supposed to be going to the Isle of Wight tomorrow on the hovercraft as D’s birthday treat.

While the damage is still minor at the moment, from experience with the first wheel, it could quickly get a lot worse to the point of being basically unusable and I don’t want to get stuck over there, in pain and having to push a broken wheelchair back home.

I’m actually pretty sure about the culprit this time - the cable protectors at Pride.

I get why they’re used and I try to be as careful as I can be but they are hellish to get over in a wheelchair.

Roach has another wheel collapse. I’ve only had her about 10 weeks. Less than 3 months and both front wheels have done this.

I am at the top of the weight limit for the chair so I expected some problems down the line but I didn’t think it would be this bad this quickly.

Has anyone else had this with honeycomb wheels? Am I just unlucky? Can anyone recommend better wheels?

Curtis's humiliation came from the fact that at his graduation, the ramp to get onto the stage was too steep & #inaccessible for #WheelchairUsers.

Curtis has #EhlersDanlos syndrome, a connective tissue disorder that causes joint dislocations & severe pain, which is why he uses a #wheelchair & has a service animal.
