@worthlessbums I was looking into Discord for #WhartsonHall on one of the many occasions when Google's video chat was getting made worse. I self-host a lot of stuff. I saw all these people talking about "my server" and thought "OK, where do I download it". Oh no, silly Roger, it's "your server" hosted by them, run by them, showing their adverts, feeding into their central repository of personal information, but you get to kick people off it so it's "yours".
(So I ended up self-hosting Jitsi.)
