When my whalewatching group used to stay at #ByronBay to watch the #humpback migrations, we regularly ate at Earth & Sea Pizza.

Most ordered pizza with pineapple which drew sighs from the purists.

Then, one year I turned up with bananas & asked the owners if they’d add banana to my pizza as well as pineapple.

Everyone laughed at me. It tasted fantastic. I ordered that pizza for the rest of our trip. Others did too.

On my final #whalewatch I was surprised to see it on their menu 🤯

I'm on a #WhaleWatch today, kind of - we're keeping an eye on a developing story on #CapeCod, in #Eastham. That's where five pilot whales stranded themselves at Sunken Meadow Beach; another whale, a baby, died.

The International Fund for Animal Welfare is on the scene, helping to get these animals back in the water. High tide is in right now, and at last check, the whales were all in the water, but IFAW's working to get them swimming again. 📸: IFAW
