This is just one post in a series featuring my first "restoration," of sorts... a candlestick phone that had been converted to a lamp.

It had been sitting on a shelf in a basement and broken, no longer usable. I took the lamp with the intention of giving it a functional restoration and a few cosmetic touches.

Cords were replaced with NOS (New Old Stock) parts. The earpiece was a bear to get open, it took a number of folks to loosen the cover. A new lampshade was purchased. New wiring was installed in addition to a new felt base.

This is an authentic Western Electric telephone and will function as designed and intended should it ever be configured and properly connected to the appropriate equipment.

This was a fun project to undertake.
