Celebrated Springfest with my family at Hanamigawa Koen (and even got to introduce Dion to the Flower Bunny!) I think Komorebi has the nicest springtime in the world. ^_^

Endured a short day trip back out to Del Sol Valley to revisit the Plumbob Pictures Museum. Returning to a town I hate to see if it stretches my mind a bit.

I’m thinking of art as production and reproduction. The use of simulacra in the construction of simulations and vice-versa. Creation as a collaborative, iterative act.

After nearly making it to the peak everyone’s really determined to finish climbing Komorebi so we’re spending the next few days just training on the practice wall so we can try again!

After a smooth start, we were hit with heavy snow at base camp. But both teams pressed on to the Croft Icefall, where we ended the hike and celebrated our progress with a bonfire.

Mt. Komorebi here we come!!!

We’re breaking up this excursion into two teams of 4:

I’ve got the most experience climbing Komorebi so I’m leading team 1. Beau has a distinguished degree in biology so they’re our first-aid expert. Manny is paired with Wilbur in case the sexy servo needs sexy repairs.

Hunter and Foxglove are both bio majors with cold-climate wilderness experience so they’re on team 2 (which includes Joe and Skeeter because they’re kind of uhhhh already dead).

We’re up bright and early though this is just a practice run. We all agreed to reach the top together. If anyone needs to turn back, we all turn back and try again after a day of practice. Wish us luck!

Our extreme sports trip continues!!! We hiked all day from morning till night. Not very exciting but it’s important to be get accustomed to the climate and altitude before kicking things up.
