This is only my top five games played since July when I started using this app. Given that we play a different game most weeks, it's nice to see some games with more than one or two plays.

What can I say? We definitely prefer lighter games. I'm done being ashamed of it. We play mostly gateway games, and no snob can convince me that's a bad thing.

Chicken! is great BTW. Simple, cute, and always good for a palette cleanser between heavier games.

My wife and I still have one more game of Welcome to the Moon to play before we can start the official campaign. I'm really excited to see what all is hiding in that box of flip-and-write goodness!

My wife and I went on a little getaway to a tiny cabin in the woods for a few days. We had a chance to relax, eat junk food, wander aimlessly in the woods, poke at a campfire and play a few board games.

I try to take pictures of the games we play, but that wasn't really a priority. It was a great time! My wife beat me at everything except #WelcomeToTheMoon.

A friend gifted us #WingspanAsia. The new cards will be great with others and I really like the central board the players compete over. Small addition, but a nice little wrinkle to the regular gameplay.

So our standard #BoardGame night at at the moment seems to start with #WelcomeToTheMoon then we play one or two other games before my one friend has a quick round of #Cahoots as her final game and goes home and leaves the other two of us to face off at #Cartographers followed by one of the #GanzSchonClever games.

And if I’d realised I was one game short of a square number for May’s plays I’d have pulled out another solo game last night!

Adventures 3&4 of our #WelcomeToTheMoon campaign last night. Not going to spoil anything but the changes to the rules that one of them gave us, which actually made it easier, managed to totally confuse me. It all worked out ok in the end though.

And, since my brain was definitely running at half speed, we plumped for #PatchworkDoodle over Cartographers for a change but I decided to make a map anyway!

We got to the eighth, and last, adventure of #WelcomeToTheMoon last night. One of those where it’s easier to play than to understand the instructions! Once we worked out that, with two players, we just had to swap sheets after each turn and our initials would work perfectly well as “insignia” it all made a lot more sense.

Now we’re going to start over again and use the campaign mode this time. It’s nice that there is still a lot of value in the box!
