I think everyone has that dish that is a staple in your country, but somehow it never was that great for you. For me that's a dish we call Hachee in Dutch, never really liked it as a kid & as an adult I never wanted to make it. My DH loves it.. So when I was gifted Nick Toet's new cookbook last Christmas and a recipe for Hachee was in it there was nothing else left to do but #WeekendCooking 🤷🏼‍♀️
Hachee has been redeemed! Childhood trauma vanquished! It needs some tweaking but this dish was a hit!
