"I have yet to meet someone who earnestly enjoys being stuck in gridlock traffic for hours a week. Yet people unhappy with traffic still resort to cars to get around when it is perceived as the least difficult option." - Peter Wood in their transit diary for #WeekWithoutDriving: https://ggwash.org/view/101281/transit-diary-an-adams-morgan-anc-commissioner-spends-a-week-commuting-abroad
"Almost everywhere I needed to go this week COULD be reached by public transit, but many of the trips required more logistics, more time, and more physical energy than if I were driving." - Bianca Palmisano in their transit diary for #WeekWithoutDriving: https://ggwash.org/view/101298/transit-diary-a-dc-resident-does-the-suburbs

Wrapped up the #WeekWithoutDriving! Solo bike ride this morning. @timcoffman & the teen went to a board games meetup at lunchtime using the bus. Tonight the teen & I took the bus to a Silent Book Club meeting in East Nashville. Something that surprised me was that the buses were pretty full even on a Sunday early evening. First time I’ve seen one of the e-ink bus stop displays, very nice! Waiting at this bus stop was tense bc the street it’s on is high volume, fast, & cars are so close.
