No pics, but the cockies in the valley were making a ruckus, so I had a look.

Aha! Is that Australia's largest bird of prey I spy circling? Wedgies have wing spans up to over 2.5m, although today's looked much smaller (possibly male, females are bigger). Claims of an example with a 3.4m wingspan aren't verified (thank deity) 😱. The biggest I've seen were eating outback roadkill, slowly taking flight just as I rode past—too slowly for comfort!

Cool!

Wedge-tailed eagle - Wikipedia

A David and Goliath scene - to encourage our climate campaigners to keep going. This Magpie was worried the Wedge Tail Eagle might be after its eggs - so it attacked. Makes a change from dive bombing humans! The Magpie flew rings around the Eagle - and saw it off.
