Bulwark - Modern Webmail Client for Stalwart Mail Server

Open-source, self-hosted webmail powered by JMAP. Email, calendar, contacts, and files - all in one modern interface for Stalwart Mail Server.

Bulwark Webmail

I am seeking an e-mail client with the following specifications. If any exist, please tell me. As a quick explanation, I use Thunderbird 102, and it works, but I want something lighter, faster, and less cluttered. My guess is that 68 is the last truly clean version, and then 78 and 91. I haven't tried the older ones yet, but I may do so. I tried Pegasus Mail, Claws Mail, and Sylpheed, but all were inaccessible with NVDA, despite having promising descriptions. OE Classic worked, but I couldn't get it to connect to GMail. I may be able to use it with my Yahoo account, but they actually still offer a very nice web interface via their Basic option, so it's not really necessary there. At any rate, below are the requirements.

1. Has read, reply, forward, write (including cc), send, delete, and search functionality, along with an address book. A spell checker would be nice but is not necessary.

2. Uses standard menus accessible via a menu bar (alt), with normal arrow key navigation, preferably with okay and cancel buttons after making changes. Also has other

keyboard shorttcuts, eliminating the need for a mouse for those who don't use one.

3. Can work with GMail and other providers that require

modern authentication.

4. Can handle at least two e-mail addresses.

5. Can work without downloading e-mails i.e. everything would be done on the server but from the client. I'm not sure if this one is even possible, so disregard if it's not.

6. Can work with Windows 7 through 11 (32 and 64-bit), though XP support would be nice.

That's it. I don't need ai, integration with other programs, features for businesses, folders that are not created by users and that they didn't ask for e.g. on GMail, all sorts of filters, or strange, modern interfaces.

If such a client doesn't exist, how difficult would it be for a programmer to create a website that could be used to access GMail? There was once something similar, called Mail2web. You would go there, enter the user name and password for your particular provider, and then see your e-mail on their site instead of that of the host.

A feature that was long overdue: responsive design for the b1gMail webmail interface.

@mkleger contributed this. Many thanks.

We will include this in future releases. This will replace the old separate mobile version.

#webmail @servus

the #email web interface https://webmail.servus.at (running the software: #horde) is currently unreachable/spits mistakes. You can however fetch your email via roundcube, or set up an email client.

Roundcube, another browser-based email interface that we operate, works: https://webmail.servus.at/mail/. You can access it with the same username & password you use for horde webmail. Please keep in mind that in roundcube you cannot setup or manage your email filters or forwarding.

You can also use the email app in the nextcloud or set up an email client such as thunderbird. here a tutorial https://book.servus.at/en/guides/configure-the-e-mail-client-example-thunderbird/

thanks for your understanding while we fix the issue.

Apparently RoundCube webmail now has "mandatory public_html/ entry point" and I'm trying to work out what that means and how to work with it.

I run a VPS. I don't bother with `public_html` for everything. Every website has its directory that is for the public HTML. I don't need a per-site directory _and_ a public_html directory.

But apparently the upgrade might break my system for a while until I work out the change of config required ๐Ÿ™„
