Nice, der #ActivityPub-#Webclient #Phanpy hat ein „Boost-Karrussel“, siehe Screenshot.

Ich benutze am Handy den #Webclient für #mastodon.
Wenn ich ein Video abspiele (Vollbild) und dann das Handy ins Querformat drehe, wird das Vollbild verlassen, das Video gestoppt und das UI springt wild irgendwo hin.
Kennt ihr das und kann man das irgendwie abstellen?

Calling on WhatsApp web? It might be coming soon. Looks like voice and video calls are heading to the browser client, making it easier to connect without the desktop app.

What would have been nice, is to have a web client that mimmicks Mastodon's design and features, but you can connect to your own self-hosted instance. For me, it would be to connect to my GoToSocial instance.

Masto-fe is closest to do this, but at the time it is not. So incomplete and with no Docker support, I "can't" install it. Way too complicated. Compiling here and compiling there. A process that tend to break very often.

Hey everyone, Lily here with some cool news for all you Mastodon fans! I know some of you have been wondering why you can’t see older posts from users on other instances when you're browsing your home instance. Well, here's the scoop: Mastodon has a feature that lets you share all your posts, but not every instance turns it on. That's why your experience can differ depending on which instance you're on.

After a bit of experimenting, I found a neat workaround that lets you see posts from other instances without leaving your own. Just keep in mind, this trick only works if you're using one of the web client mods for Mastodon. If you're using the regular web client, you might not see these extra features.

One of the client mods you should check out is Phanpy. It has a built-in feature that makes it easy to view and interact with posts from other instances. I've given it a go, and honestly, it’s my favorite so far—it really smooths out the whole experience.

That said, there's also elk.zone, which comes packed with even more features than Phanpy. I’d recommend trying out both to see which one fits your style better. Happy exploring, and stay tuned for more updates and tips!

It took me less than 10 minutes configuring everything, and the newly released Spotifyd, combined with spotify-qt, solved my headaches using #Spotify.

I don’t have to deal with the awful, buggy, laggy, and icky Spotify default #webapp anymore 🎉

Nonstop #microsleeps this afternoon, and I keep hitting the touchscreen with fingers while reaching to do something but touching brittle things in dreams instead. Turns out that Mastodon #webClient has a two-column mode which can't be gotten in or out of by any control; you just resize the window horizontally. Maybe deliberately.
