MaudelixWent back to playing #Hyur today in #FFXIV. It fits my personality and self #RP better. Today focused on #leveling up the #weaver class. Trying to get it to lvl. 50 and then will do the same with #mining.
No progress on the #MSQ last #FFXIV session. Grabbed blue #mage and leveled up #mining and #weaver. Plus a couple hard dungeons!

Combien de canettes pour alimenter un métier à tisser??
On dit que dans le temps il fallait 10 filandières pour alimenter 1 tisserand. La femme du tisserand faisait les canettes. Et tisser était un métier d'homme.
Les temps ont changés, apparemment avoir une paire de c...lle n'est pas une nécessité pour lancer la navette. Les filandières ont disparues, remplacées par les filatures, et je travaille toute seule.
Donc en fait, je fais la mise en canette ET le tissage.

Times have changed; apparently, having a pair of b-lls isn't necessary to weave the shuttle. The spinners have disappeared, replaced by the spinning mills, I am a woman and I work alone. So, in fact, I do the bobbins AND the weaving.

LichenFinished this wrap a while ago but haven't been in a posting mood 'til now. This is 36 ends per inch in wool. The final length was a bit shy of two yards. I gave it to a friend who's helped me though some really difficult times recently, and it felt so good to give her a physical manifestation of my time, care, and attention.

When we arrived, we were a bit disappointed because the market—which had been described everywhere as huge and spectacular—was really small. There were only some women sitting on the floor and selling the same artisanal goods you find everywhere else in the Sacred Valley of Cusco...
The weaving showroom was interesting though. The woman there showed us how they traditionally weave and explained with which materials from nature the wool is dyed.
