X marks the spot out over northern Cook Strait
My indoor/outdoor temp gauge says it's 87 here. That's a little scary considering our severe storm risk for later today...
Checked the radar before walking down to the mailbox. Storms brewing just off the state line. Since I was walking east had a gorgeous view of the storm that was ~2 miles or so from us and lovely rain-cooled downdraft breeze.
Even caught a couple of raindrops that hitched a ride on the wind. But made it back safely and it was a joy to be in nature.
29.2 inches of Mercury or 988hPa in new money. The eye of #StormAgnes is passing over #Arran just now.
This is now an unofficial socal tropical storm watch account. #WeatherGeek
Announcement!
I can now reveal…
I was very honored, thank God, to have some of my work used in this #book (!) by Benjamin Wretlind, a #WritingGuide on using #weather to build atmosphere. As a weather geek I am *so excited* to read this. Thanks, Benjamin!
