I'm Mike Puskar, an impacted member & Tri-Chair of MD #PoorPeoplesCampaign.

Today I turned 48. I'd like nothing more than to abolish poverty for my birthday; instead we have a president destroying the People's House, after this entire year of destroying lives & livelihoods.

So, for my bday, I ask that you RISE UP! with me this Saturday Oct 25!

We must demand the continuation of SNAP & Medicaid; and an end to the detriments besieging our poor & low-wage friends.

The Maryland #PoorPeoplesCampaign remembers the lives lost 24 years ago today, and the many lost since due to policy choices that do not consider the well-being of individuals.

Dr. King once said, "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."

Today in DC Bishop Barber & others were arrested for "crowding, obstructing and incommoding"; this is unacceptable. Press were shut out of the Rotunda.
