If life were fair, we'd all gather around the TV to hear about the latest discovery coming out of CERN rather than to find out which Kardashian is pregnant.

#WeAreTheAnts Shaun David HUTCHINSON
Okay, it's time to start reading a new @ShaunDavidHutchinson book.
After #WeAreTheAnts and #AtTheEdgeoftheUniverse, I'm ready for another soul-destroying #lgbtqia book
I just finished #reading #WeAreTheAnts by Shaun David Hutchinson again.
The story is of a boy not being accepted and unalived himself. His boyfriend remained but suffered badly and maintaining face while his psychological landscape crumbled using alien abduction as the tonic.
Ever watched #MysteriousSkin ? If that didn't have enough emotional impact for you, you sociopath, this will get you right in the feelz.
The book that didnβt let me sleep last night was βwe are the antsβ by Shaun David Hutchinson. Itβs about a boy who is regularly abducted by aliens. The aliens tell him living things on Earth will be gone in half a year unless he presses a big red button they have on their spaceship.
I didnβt know what to expect, but itβs really really nice.
Itβs about a boy trying to not die, really. He is bullied, he is gay, his boyfriend killed himself, his family seems to be in pieces, he lost his best friend, so yeah, he has many many reasons to not survive the next half a year.
But he had a choice with the red button so he searches even if he doesnβt realise for things to keep him alive.
He finds the good in his family (his relationship with his grandma and mom, and Charlieβ€οΈ), he gets back with his best friend to grieve together, he lets go of the abusive sex friend, and even comes a new boy even if he isnβt without his dark bags either.
