I watched most of this week’s city council meeting last night. Item 5 was the police chief talking about how Carlsbad police will NOT assist in any immigration enforcement operations. When question/comment period came, most people were very focused on ‘would the city cops actually protect residents’ from unlawful activities from ICE. Unclear whether they will. HOWEVER, perhaps a quarter of the commenters were there to say that we should just ‘let ICE do their job’. Such people make me throw up in my mouth a little bit. #weareallimmigrants #minnesota
