I am not dying any more than anyone else is - in the sense that we are all getting closer to it every day. But for various reasons death has been on my mind lately and a a poem came out of it - I'm sure there'll be more to come!

A beloved retired pastor in my town has been dx’d with cancer that has matastasized to other parts of his body. It’s not good.
An ecumenical colleague posted a variety of treatments and hopes for a “miracle that he fully recovers,” and that bothers me. We all die, but there’s hope in Resurrection. My colleague’s desire for a full recovery seems selfish at best, and faith-less at worst.
