Neater stitching, although still some practice needed. Separated the flap from the main piece but got the measurements _slightly_ off so the flap doesn't close properly. Did manage to fully line the main body and external pocket.

I have enough canvas left for one more go. Already happy with the improvements from the first test.

Today I attempted to make a waxed canvas keyboard sleeve based on one I had seen online. First time trying anything like this so lots of "lessons learned". I feel it turned out okay though, and I even got a faux suede lining in the pocket.

I waxed some canvas today. It's not a quick job. Smells good with the beeswax. I didn't weigh the 2 linear yards but I got 15 oz of wax into it. It's suppose to be 10 oz canvas but I just calculated it to be about 8 oz actually and almost 5 oz per sq. yard of wax is pretty typical for a heavy wax. I brushed it in/on and then ironed it.. with an old iron and touched up the visibly thin spots.

It's 1:1 paraffin beeswax.

Made a cover for the Singer 29-4 patcher out of some waxed canvas remnants. I put some nylon monofilament in webbing to stiffen up the ends since only one end is supported good by the hand wheel.

Ginger was helping rip some stitches out of the obviously backwards thing that got sewed. She helped a lot today, ran off with one of the sewn bindings, got into the waste bin of thread and scraps, and much more.

Hey, does anyone out there have a canvas/waxed canvas "utility belt"/fanny pack/bum bag that they'd recommend (or conversely, warn against)?

I've been using a polyester(?) one for a year or two now that I've loved - two main pockets, a little stash pocket, and two pockets on the front - one roughly wallet sized, and the other about 2x that size. #UHK for scale. It's falling apart :(
