I've seen some plainly wrong takes on this story along the lines of “this is inevitable, #AI is too dumb to avoid transphobia / other hate."

But it’s not. The scene resulted from fallback to a more rudimentary model less amenable to #OpenAI's moderation tools. Encouraging that in more advanced models this is largely solved & the #watchmeforever team has learned not to fall back to the less moderated model.

Was ist mit #watchmeforever auf Twitch passiert? Der Kanal wurde gesperrt aufgrund von Regelverstößen. Wer es noch nciht mitbekommen hat, der Kanal hatte die Idee der Seinfeld Serie Staffel 4 Folge 3 verfolgt, eine Serie über "Nichts" zu machen. Es wurde eine AI verwendet, um den Content zu erstellen und die Serie "Nothing forever" war geboren. Sie hatte die Idee der Serie, die in oben genannter Folge vorgestellt wurde, ziemlich gut umgesetzt.

For the last month there's been a #ChatGPT powered #ai spoof of #Seinfeld called #WatchMeForever which is just endless ai Seinfeld episodes. Mostly talking about whether to go to a new restaurant and then standup about egg jokes.

After a month, ChatGPT sucked up enough Right Wing content that the standup routine included an anti-trans and anti-gay rant, and the channel was suspended. Which is an apt parable about the dangers of trusting your content to #AIgeneration

So #watchmeforever, the 24-7 AI Seinfeld twitch channel, just got a 2-week suspension for a bit which seems to be making fun of cancel culture comedy, but all awkward because it's AI.

The channel turns a "make sense mode" on and off, with the higher quality/slower AI used when the mode is on. This happened when using the quicker/worse AI.
