The colourful lives of monks

The living quarters for the monks at Wat Thmey monastery are not spacious, but definitely well cared for and maintained. And the details sure is a colourful statement.

This monastery is connected to Thammissararam Pagoda, ត្ត​ធម្មិស្សរារាម, in the Roluos village in Siem Reap Province.

I have visited this monastery several times, as part of attending Cheng Meng-rituals and Pchum Benh with Khmer friends. That includes attending to cleaning, maintaining and decorate their family graves and tombs. And the honour of attending the prayer ceremony in memory and support of the family history and spirits.
