In 1858 #OnThisDate, Giles Wheeler Ford of Olympia, Washington Territory, posted this ad for the first time in the local Pioneer and Democrat newspaper. You'd have to really enjoy a circus performance to name your child after the company that presented it, but that's exactly what happened in the 1860s. Angevine June Titus and Company Favor (his actual name) grew up to plat the town of Pataha in Garfield County, Washington Territory in 1882. https://www.washingtonruralheritage.org/digital/collection/pomeroy/id/754/rec/343
