#ThursDeath this week is this great new EP 'Into the Flame of Fear' by Bellingham, Washington's MALDISDEUN. These guys just started in 2019 and have only one other release before this (an LP from 2023), but they REALLY have the OSDM sound and everything else down. Two very interesting, diverse, dynamic tracks of death metal here -- a band to watch.

This week's #GrindayFriday is the new '...Such is Life' EP by Seattle, Washington's IMPULSE NOISE. This is a grindy, dynamic bunch of songs - I really dig this one. Fast, heavy, quick - blink and you'll miss them. Not sure what a full length would sound like from these guys, but that would be wild-- hopefully eventually. For this #GrindayFriday, something that came out just five years ago but should already be considered a classic. Seattle, Washington's CAUSTIC WOUND gave us this brutal, crushing riffy LP 'Death Posture' in 2020. They have a new one coming end of April-- they're a band to watch. Cropping the cover here, as it's a bit morbid, fair warning. Few songs are over or even reach two minutes long. I love albums that get to the point and don't give up til the end.
