Line Breaker

The Warmaster Titan project marches on. I've reached a point on the base where I feel comfortable attaching the miniature to it.
There's two decking screws up through the cargo containers and one through the bottom of the other foot. In both cases construction adhesive is attaching it to the base.
I experimented with making a scale chainlink fence that the Titan is crashing through.

Goopey nougat... I mean homemade texture paste applied to the base. Made from a small tub of sanded grout mix with crumbled cork and kosher salt chunks added for texture. I mixed in some brown paint to get it relatively close to Agrellan Earth since that's what I use on all the knights. I'm hoping after drybrushing it'll be close enough to pass.

Another major milestone on the Warmaster Titan: I've magnetized the arms. I was going to skip this at first but then I realized if I didn't, transporting this monster would be a disaster. This is the first time I'm seeing it fully together and I'm loving the lumbering gorilla look to it. Not only is it very menacing but knowing gorillas this thing could spring into deadly action at any moment.

Another small update but I wanted to keep up the habit of posting. Picking out what details to do and what to skip is pricing to be quite the challenge.

Leg armor is all on, which means just the "butt gun" left to do in order to call the lower half of the Warmaster done.
Yes, the Warmaster has an Ardex-Defense Mauler gun mounted on its butt, I didn't original realize was there, it was laying in the pile of bits, but we're a a huge step here!

Ankle armor is on! The shin armor is just there to keep them aligned while the glue dries, but this should give an idea of how chunky this Titan is once fully armored up!

Warmaster Milestone!

All the color blocking and shading on the leg skeleton is done! It may not seem like much, but it's a big milestone on progress and means that I can keep trucking away. I'm probably going to add a few decals here and there but not many. Next step will be the leg armor panels. The base will kind of be spread out as I see fit.

Project keeps rolling on, most of the trim on one leg is done. I'll continue picking away at it, but we're getting to the point where even little things make a big difference!

Return to Base

The Warmaster project carries on and the custom MDF base has arrived. This is a massive 480mmx360mm (14"x19") MDF oval and it still barely fits in the footprint.
I'm out of scale bananas, so there's a dog food can and a War Dog to compare.
I am really pushing the boundaries on what can still be called a "miniature". And I'm getting the itch for an Imperator...

It's amazing how a little progress at a time adds up and helps you keep going. I really need to take my own advice and break projects up into smaller more manageable chunks.
Chest/drape armor for the Warmaster Titan all ready to go! I magnetized the top plate so it can come on and off as one unit for transport/storage.
