#Warlis? An #indigenous tribe living in mountainous & the coastal areas of Maharashtra-Gujarat border & surrounding areas. Though they have their own cosmogony, animistic beliefs, cultural practices & non written language, they have adopted Hindu beliefs due to acculturation. They carry on a tradition stretching back to 2500 BCE: their mural #paintings are similar to those done between 500 & 10.000 BCE in the Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka.
