A ★★½ review of Hitler- Dead or Alive (1942)

Weird early propaganda film. A wealthy American scientist places a million dollar bounty on Hitler after his brother was murdered by the Gestapo. A trio of gangsters led by Ward Bond take up his contract (they actually get a signed contract!). The gangsters skip to Canada, join the Canadian Army, and become paratroopers. They bail out (along with a pilot) over Europe and pretend to surrender and offer info for Hitler's ears only. Most of the film is lighthearted until Bond learns about Nazi war crimes. This also changes his motivation. The plot twist is ridiculous. Another film Tarantino "borrowed"
