From northern Montana to northern Wyoming, we had so much Thursday weather beauty! Thank you to Stacey from Glendive, MT, and Jennifer from Wapiti, WY, for your beautiful thunderstorm photos!

I just saw a black-tailed deer roe trying to go across a busy road with her newborn fawn.
This is a reminder that at this time of year deer and elk are giving birth.
Please keep your dogs on a leash!
Please do not pick up a fawn because it is on its own and you think it has been abandoned. Their mother hide them when they go foraging and they will return.

Spot the wapiti also known as Roosevelt elk!
No grizzly sighting to report, not even a sign of their presence in that area yet. However I saw 3 separate herds of wapiti also know as Roosevelt elk (Cervus elaphus roosevelti).
This beauty was grazing in a meadow with plenty of few-flowered shootingstar (Dodecatheon pulchellum).
She is either well-fed or expecting. They give birth in early June.
