Spring has sprung in Sheffield, UK. Lots of apple, pear and quince blossom. I planted the quince tree in February/March 2021 and had three fruit from it last year. Last autumn was a mast year for walnuts. I have at least four seedlings from the (Juglans nigra) black walnuts that I gathered. #sheffield #juglansnigra #cydona #quince #walnut

A tough nut to crack.
I saw the #squirrel on the bird feeder, so I needed to refill theirs. It took less time for the squirrel to inspect their feeder after, than it took the squirrel to crack the #walnut. Near ten minutes from pulling it from the feeder to opening it. It even decided to find an apparently more convenient/save place to find the weak spot.
