A record shop in Carshalton, the birthplace of the Smith brothers, leaders of the mighty Cardiacs, really should be selling Cardiacs records. And so it is that I have resorted to sacrificing one for the cause from my own collection. One is better than none at all, after all ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ–๐ŸŽถ

Back in time - September 2020.

One of the most notable aspects of Wallington House is its association with the Trevelyan family. In the 19th century, the estate was purchased by Sir Charles Trevelyan, a prominent politician and civil servant. The Trevelyan family played a significant role in the cultural and political life of Britain, and their influence is still felt in the estate today.

The house is surrounded by extensive gardens and parkland, which were designed by renowned landscape architect Capability Brown in the 18th century. The gardens feature a mix of formal lawns, woodland walks, and ornamental features, making them a popular destination for visitors.

Good work by @ivan_t_dog this morning (once he'd found his focus after the start, anyway ๐Ÿ™„).

The only time he wasn't pulling was the long downhill section where I could pace him, and he still managed to slingshot me round the switchbacks.

Not too shabby, considering I guessed at 40 minutes. Probably slowed down more by my claggy lungs than his crunchy elbows.

#VirginOrbit seen from #Wallington in south London is one of the dots which isn't Orion. It was a bit less bright than Orion's belt, moving rapidly upwards.

Selecting a photo per month per day, now at March. Lots to choose from, many spring gardens, a trip to south east Kent full of foggy seaside pictures, but I've gone for this shot from closer to home. Crocuses at Wallington, in the walled garden.
