Luminaires Series 100 lamps by Yrjö Kukkapuro for Blond

Dezeen Showroom: designed as a lighting solution for his studio in the 1960s, Finnish furniture designer Yrjö Kukkapuro's Luminaires Series 100 is now available from Swedish lighting brand Blond.

Luminaires Series 100 includes spotlights, pendants, table lamps, floor lamps, wall-mounted and ceiling-mounted lamps.

The lampshades are made from aluminium and are available in cone and rectangular shapes.

"Kukkapuro's design work is based on both aesthetic and functional innovation, user experience and ergonomics," said Blond.

Luminaires Series 100 is designed to be adaptable. The lamp heads can be rotated and the floor lamp models have adjustable steel stands.

Kukkapurro designed the lamps for his own studio

Informed by reflectors and screens used by photographers, the series includes a round fibreglass reflector that creates indirect light.

Blond updated Kukkapuro's original lamp designs with modern technology to suit contemporary production.

Fox Wall lamp by Bernhard Osann for Nemo Lighting

**Dezeen Showroom: **Italian brand Nemo Lighting has launched Fox Wall, a minimalist wall lamp with a swooping neck conceived by Hamburg-based industrial designer Bernhard Osann.

Fox Wall by Nemo Lighting is the latest addition to the brand's Fox collection of dimmable lamps designed by Osann, who specialises in pared back, functional architectural lighting.

The Fox Wall is designed for interior spaces where direct lighting is needed

Like the rest of the collection, the Fox Wall is distinguished by a slender, arcing neck and discreet hanging head.

The light provides spotlighting from its adjustable cylindrical head, which is designed to be suitable for any interior space where a sharp focal point is required.

It casts a warm LED light with an option for an antiglare filter.

The lamp is made of matte black-painted steel

Painted matte black, the lamp attaches to the wall with a pivot mechanism, allowing the head to be rotated across a wide range of movements to illuminate different parts of a room.

According to Nemo, the lamp is designed to be "aesthetically pure, yet innovative, dynamic and extremely user-friendly".

Nemo was founded in Milan in 1993 and now has branches in France and the United States.

Donna wall light by Nina Jobs and Stina Sandwall for Pholc

Dezeen Showroom: taking inspiration from high fashion, designers Nina Jobs and Stina Sandwall aimed to mimic the look of fabric pleats with metal in the Donna wall light for Swedish brand Pholc.

A continuation of the Donna family of pendants and chandeliers, the Donna wall light takes the form of a simple sconce with a ribbed aluminium exterior.

The Donna Wall light is available in four contemporary colours

Jobs and Sandwall wanted to play with the contradiction of using a hard material to conjure a sense of softness with the Donna lights.

In its wall variation, it casts a soft light upwards to bring warmth into spaces such as restaurants, hotel corridors as well as the home.

"With its new shape and placement, Donna wall will elevate hallways, corridors and other areas in need of welcoming wall lamps," said Pholc founder Maja Norburg.

Embrun lighting by Etienne Gounot and Eric Jähnke for Ozone

Dezeen Showroom: Etienne Gounot and Eric Jähnke, founders of Parisian lighting brand Ozone, have designed a family of lamps called Embrun that is made from white onyx cut into geometric shapes.

The Embrun collection includes a pendant, vertical sconce and square chandelier, all of which filter light through the textured surface of the stone.

"White onyx was chosen for its unique light-diffusing properties and for its spellbinding texture," said Ozone. "Like a stream, it is sometimes bubbling, sometimes fluid and always translucent."

The name Embrun was taken from the French word for sea spray, highlighting the collection's connection to nature.

The range was made in collaboration with French stone workshop Ateliers Saint-Jacques, which was responsible for carving the onyx into precise shapes.

Embrun lights have rounded corners to soften their geometry and blackened brass hardware that nods to medieval fixtures.

Altea wall light by Astro Lighting

Dezeen Showroom: British brand Astro Lighting has launched the Altea wall light, which has an elongated linear opal glass diffuser that sits elegantly beside a bathroom mirror.

Astro Lighting designed the Altea 360 LED wall light with bathrooms in mind, and it produces an ambient illumination designed to flatter the user's complexion.

The Altea wall light was featured in the DGLN Cottage design by ZROBYM Architects

The light also works in any interior space where a subtle architectural accent is desired and has been used in a number of high-end residential and hospitality projects.

The LED wall light combines opal glass with a polished chrome fitting, and it has a timeless, minimal aesthetic.

The light was also featured in the Parfenovskaya bathroom design by Sasha Levina Studio

The product forms an addition to Astro Lighting's Altea collection of wall and ceiling lights.

"Over the years, I continued to sketch and contemplate additions to the Altea family, but it was the advances in LED components that unlocked the potential to create the perfect form for the wall light," said Astro co-founder and design director James Bassant.

Available as a pendant or sconce, Reizen shines light upwards to illuminate high ceiling spaces while emphasising aspects of a building's spatial structure.

Meteor Lighting uses a prismatic design to create smooth, uniform light distribution, and the product comes in both indoors and outdoors versions.

Sticks lighting system by Arik Levy for Vibia

Dezeen Showroom: Paris-based designer Arik Levy has created the Sticks system for lighting brand Vibia, making it easy to configure a customised linear lighting design for any space.

Sticks is a lighting toolkit made up of minimalist aluminium rods, with three rods of varying length per set.

The Sticks system allows designers to configure their own linear lighting fixtures

The rods are connected to one another with an electrical cable and can be twisted to join at any angle, giving the opportunity to create unique light fixtures with a pure and graphic quality.

"Fusing technology, space, and architecture, Vibia Sticks give designers the elements and tools to help them create the design that fits the needs and is appropriate for the space they are working on," said Vibia.

Each toolkit contains three rods that can be joined at any angle

"Exuding a daring, industrial sensibility, the glowing rods connect and disrupt planes in space through their unadorned physical form and the focused light they cast."

The Sticks toolkit comes with rods measuring 59 inches, 78 ¾ inches and 118 inches, giving a maximum total length of 177 inches.
