Fulfilment of a long-time dream - to appear on the #Walescast pod!!! This was to talk about the recent flooding in #Monmouth and wider flood impact reduction.

A pleasure to talk to the BBC Wales #Walescast pod today 🎤 The topic was flooding - the recent distressing scenes from Monmouth demonstrate the need and urgency of reducing the impact of flooding in future.

Luckily 💡 @nicw published a report, led by Dr Eurgain Powell and Eluned Parrott, on exactly this issue a year ago (which you can read at https://nationalinfrastructurecommission.wales/building-resilience-to-flooding-in-wales-by-2050-report/)

I know that there are a lot of Welsh politics folks out there missing the @hiraethpod.bsky.social while it is on hiatus. While I would ofc point anyone needing a fix either to ‘For Wales, See Wales’ by the ever excellent Will Hayward and BBC Wales’s #WalesCast I’m happy to say that I have *news*
Listening to a very clear Welsh Labour comment Jenny Rathbone MS (Cardiff East) on #WalesCast that goes beyond ‘Red Welsh Way’ sloganeering to an evidence-based call for good government. Westminsterism is the problem with Welsh policing and justice, not the solution. #Senedd26 #Wales #Devolution
Cracking #WalesCast interview with @emyrlewis.bsky.social outlining how the UK Parliament (& UK Govt behind the scenes) has AGAIN created convoluted legislation to specifically avoid giving the Welsh Parliament the right to legislate on important domestic matters - here assisted dying: #Senedd26
Is the Welsh Government quiet quitting? Absolutely unbelievable that they would reject *any* opportunity to make their case ahead of a tough election next year, let alone #WalesCast
James Williams on #WalesCast absolutely nailing the sense of incredulity that responsible Ministers have gone AWOL at a time of crisis in higher education. Truly shocking.
