Trump escalates battle with Wall Street Journal

The White House is escalating a battle with The Wall Street Journal over the newspaper's story regarding Jeffrey Epstein last week. A Journal reporter was banished from Air Force One for President Donald Trump's upcoming trip to Scotland because of what press secretary Karoline Leavitt called the paper's “fake and defamatory” conduct. The president has sued the Journal for libel over its story reporting that Trump wrote a sexually suggestive note to alleged sex trafficker Epstein for his birthday more than two decades ago. Libel suits are Trump's way of going after news outlets that displease him, and they've been successful so far.
