I recently heard #WPWaterCooler podcast - one of the longest running #WordPress podcasts is concluding. Shoutout to the people who made that happen, x2 to @jasontucker.
Great resource of news for the WP community.

Kind of sad that @jasontucker didn't want to use my title card idea for this week’s #WPwatercooler, but I'll live… I guess. 😞

Piracy and the GPL
A nuanced question about piracy forces me to talk about the ethical considerations and intent of theft. Piracy, though complicated, should not stray into harmful or exploitative territory.

I'm really saddened by this kind of behavior in the #WordPress community, by those who should be the most constructive part of it.
I've been listening to the #WPwatercooler podcast for years now, and I've never gotten an impression that you were anything but opened for a friendly discussion.
Change in the leadership of the .org project is long overdue. The only alternative to their bad behavior is to organize ourselves and take full advantage of the #openSource license!

We definitely need to openly talk about the current and future development of #WordPress, if we want it to stay relevant in the time to come.
If the #openSource project looses the support of the community that made it what it is today, I doubt it will have a bright future.
