To say that we are grateful is such an understatement. Because of you, we have raised over $41,000 for Paws Mobile Veterinary!!
Thanks to your generous donations and help from our friends at Lil Bub, we've ALMOST hit our goal and Dr. Dragon was able to put a deposit down on a new van yesterday!!!

While we have seen some other damaging wind events affect our timber resource in recent decades, this may be the most damaging wind event we have seen in North Carolina since Hurricane Fran in 1996 (Eastern North Carolina) and Hurricane Hugo in 1989 (Western North Carolina). Ground observations by personnel within the damaged areas and pictures coming out of these areas reinforce the observations made. #HeleneNC #WNCStrong #ncwx

RyanI almost exclusively give blood to other organizations rather than to The Red Cross because I am not a fan of their leaders in Europe/ME, but the ARC workers that have been doing everything they possibly can for Western NC recovery has been mind changing for me. At least today.

In the coming days and weeks clearing debris will become an important focus of our recovery efforts. Debris needs to be separated into these six categories in order to be properly collected.

✔️ Construction debris
✔️ Vegetative debris
✔️ Hazardous waste
✔️ Electronics
✔️ Household waste

Lois JostJust Joined! I live in Asheville, NC area. The destruction and devastation in our area is unimaginable. We still have no power but we are using a generator. Git water back last Thursday. No wifi. Cell coverage was non existent until a week ago. Still not good but better. We were fortunate and had no damage to our home. We are hanging in there! Thankful to all of the local, state and federal assistance! We are getting much needed help but this will take years to rebuild. #WNCSTRONG
