Ubuntu/GNOME has a hard limit of 3 on-screen error messages at once (I can get up to 3 'System program problem detected' errors before I have to close one to receive the next)
If I have this right, Windows has a GDI object limit between 10000 and 65536 for the entire system. The average error message uses about 10 GDI objects. That means Windows can likely handle between 1000 and 6553 on-screen error messages at the same time before the system itself completely runs out of memory and crashes (given you have enough RAM and CPU power)
Makes sense. Cascading error messages are one of the most iconic Windows features, and is one of its major selling points. /s
(Please correct me if I am wrong. I would like to know more about this)
