#Wergo released over the years 1989-1995 a collection of 13 compact discs covering computer music from the 1970s to 1995. It was called Computer Music Currents. You'll find familiar names like Max V Mathews, Richard Karpen or Jean-Claude Risset and some others perhaps not as well known. Volume 13 came with a nice thick booklet. Not sure on others as I found most of them used. I am missing volume 7, 10 and 11 if you come across those, let me know.
