April Fool's...Classical Style!

April Fool’s Day comes with merry pranks, jokes, and light-hearted fun, and you can hear that fun in music!

I love this piece. It sounds like something from Addams Family.

Right now listening to Symphony No. 2 in G minor, "Song of a New Race" (1937) by William Grant Still Jr on #WCRB
His music is so awesome. Like Gershwin or Sondheim.

Now back to pops and hymns. #WCRB (streaming) has been entertaining and sometimes even therapeutic.
First, #WCRB - that Figgy Pudding song you played yesterday afternoon was, by far, the worst piece of music I have every heard on WCRB. Please stick with the things you do well - play more Claude Debussy.
Second, #WBGO - when some jazz musician decides to jazz up some Christmas music, it's usually to generate revenue and not artistry. The best of this genre is mediocre. The best holiday present is to play the good stuff instead.
