<p>The target for 2030: reduce antibiotic consumption in community and hospital sectors in the European Union (EU) by 20% compared to the 2019 baseline. The most recent analysis presented by <a name="_Hlk151073890">Ventura-Gabarró, however, </a>show that in 13 of 27 EU countries, community antibiotic consumption was higher in 2022 than in 2019.</p>
