#Russia journalists visited #Vuhledar occupied by Russian army since 2024 and complain that the town is ruined, abandoned and devoid of any administration in spite of civilians living there (Russian audio, English/Polish subtitles). Just to be clear, this is Russian state media describing destruction brought to a town in Ukraine as part of Russian “liberation”.

La importancia de la toma de #Siversk es enorme, aunque nosotros no sepamos el porqué. Se demuestra en lo que le ha costado al ruso llegar a ella, muchos muertos, infinidad de material perdido y tres años.
El tiempo ha demostrado que no era necesario tanto ataque frontal y suicida. Siversk dejó de ser defendible en el momento que el ruso cortó la carretera de #Lyman. Y con la defensa de #Pokrovsk y el desastre de #Kursk, el ucraniano la vació de las brigadas más preparadas, llenándola de reclutas sin ánimo.
Al igual que el ucraniano, el ruso ha cometido muchas estupideces, la diferencia es que las ha corregido, a veces juzgando sumariamente a los mandos responsables, tal como hizo aquí y en #Vuhledar
En #Ucrania los mandos son sagrados, aunque miles mueran inútilmente por sus actos.

#Ukraine regains control of most of #Tovste in #DonetskOblast

The 5th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade pushed #Russian troops from the settlement through coordinated operations involving #infantry, #drone units and #artillery, according to the military. Tovste is a front-line village southwest of the Russian-occupied city of Donetsk and near the key occupied town of #Vuhledar.

72ª Brigata meccanizzata: ha subito pesanti perdite e un alto tasso di diserzione, tanto che alcune compagnie sono scese da 120 a soli 10 uomini effettivi, con circa il 20% dei soldati mancanti resisi irreperibili. La perdita di #Vuhledar è stata in parte attribuita a diserzioni e abbandono di posizioni.

Hasta ahora tres plazas han sido terriblemente costosas para el ruso, #Bakhmut, #Vuhledar y ahora #Siversk. En Bakhmut el ruso tuvo que echar mano a Wagner junto a miles de reclusos liberados para la ocasión, algo que también hace el ucraniano, pero este de forma masiva. En esta ciudad el ucraniano perdió tantos combatientes o más que el ruso. En Vuhledar se cree que el ruso perdió más que el ucraniano, mientras que en Siversk las pérdidas rusas ya son tremendas en comparación al defensor. En esos casos la víctima de la guerra de desgaste parece ser el ruso.
La guerra es terrible para todos, pero para el ruso es de supervivencia y, por cuidado que lleve, a veces ha de romper sus reglas.
