In the end it's as simple as "don't take candy from strangers"
As far as VPNs go, is ovpn.com safe?
Seems Pango Group bought it.
I'm using VPN services to watch worldcup games in their original languages. No Fox Sports Miami gusano is gonna hold me hostage of their awful transmission.
Using VPNs should be strictly to get around nonsense geoblocked streaming , not for privacy reasons.
Huh⊠discovered our everyday VPN âPrivate Internet Accessâ has sketchy ownership with heavy Unit 8200 links and other red flags. Looked at some others⊠ick. Whatâs a good general-purpose VPN that doesnât have weird ownership or a history of data leaks and is technically competent? Our instinct is to avoid free products.
I am ultimately teetering between SurfsharkVPN, NordVPN, and ExpressVPN as my options. They are all relatively expensive, but I could tank the cost through monthly payments.
Still don't know what I will do about my Password Manager. I could probably switch to an open source one instead of Proton at the end of a year.
Annoying that Private Internet Access is based in the USA, like IPVanish which is a HUGE risk if you want to remain private.

Founded in 2012, IPVanish VPN isnât the oldest kid on the block and in fact, has already changed hands once. Whatâs unusual about this company is that despite its apparent popularity in such a short time, the company has also managed to get itself embroiled in a logging controversy. This type of thing usually sounds [âŠ]
Since people are asking "but which #VPN should I switch to?", and I hate companies that mislead and scare people into buying "protections" that don't do anything, here is the reminder that the answer is very likely "none of them": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVDQEoe6ZWY
VPNs are the replacement for Norton antivirus telling you your PC will be hacked wide open in 30 days if you don't give it your credit card to extend your free trial into the full subscription service RIGHT NOW.

I tried to write a more honest VPN commercial. The sponsor wasn't happy about it. âą Get ââ days of âââ VPN free at ââââââ.com/honestThe ASA ruling I referenc...

Unless you NEED a VPN, you don't need a #VPN.
Please.. A VPN does not offer you security unless you own both endpoints and probably does not offer you #privacy even if you do.
#VPNs have very specific uses for very specific users and you probably don't meet the requirements.
And it you don't know if you meet the requirements you are gulping snake oil...
