This #VolunteerWeek, we celebrate all the incredible volunteers who keep our bookshops running.

We have come a long way since the first Amnesty "bookshop" which was a stall in the Hammersmith & City Line tube station.

Today, there are 10 second-hand bookshops across the UK.

I joined Blood Bikes Wales after helping organise a 3-Day Tour of Wales(2016) to raise money for them. After hearing about what they do, and how much they save the NHS, I joined to help out more

I have never regretted volunteering my time. I would strongly suggest that everyone find a cause or organisation they feel strongly about, and during this 40th Anniversary of Volunteer Week, maybe reach out and offer to help.
