Rondelet Music & Records 1981 Dark Side Of The Mune EP https://www.discogs.com/fr/release/2351775-The-Wibbley-Brothers-Dark-Side-Of-The-Mune
Released in 1981 on the Stereo Rain imprint which I'm guessing was Rainey's own label as there is just this release associated with it. Recorded at Jacob's Studios - so I'm guessing that J's name maybe Jacob Rainey ? The EP has 4 self-penned tracks - I Don't Want To Play This Game No More (The Negative Song), Separate Beds, T.V. Heros, Social Depression https://www.mixcloud.com/paulhillery/ Recorded from vinyl. An educational channel. For love and not for profit
Third song from their 7", released in 1981 on Rektum records. Don't know much about this band but they might be from Scotland. This 7" was apparently sold without a sleeve, but I'm 100% not sure if that's correct either. On my copy the labels are switched by the way, not sure if that's the case with all copies. http://www.discogs.com/Haemorrhoids-How-Can-I-Love-You/release/2245327
The Grids released New Anthems EP (on Kings Head Records) at the end of 1980 on 7 inch Vinyl and despite being very rudimentary it did show the DIY ethic of Punk with catchy riffs & melodies, the first and perhaps only real punk band to come out of Holywell North Wales. Recorded at Cargo Studios Rochdale 20/9/1980, The Grids - Paul 'Doggy' Evans (Vocals),Andrew 'Tunkie' Tunnicliffe (Guitar) (who later played in Vicious Circle, Mercenary Skank), Gaz 'Top' Jones (Bass) (then known as Gary Gutter), Dave 'Moggy' Williams (vocals), Ian 'Sten' Stenhouse (Rhythm Guitar), Timmy 'Bean' Davies (Drums).
