I've seen Xevi Bayona and Alex Posada's Sfera in a Hungarian shopping mall and here in a church in Vilnius. Both temples, in a way.

Very vintage equipment combined with modern algorithms and generative stuff. I'm not sure, though, if it makes any difference that the content (probably meaning sound and light sequences) is generated in real time, compared to a recorded one. Anyway, a very beautiful piece!

Camera often gives a quite different picture of light art than naked eye. Seen live, the whizzing structure of the kinetic artwork Heller-Forgó by Laszlo Heller and Laszlo Forgó was clearly visible, but in photos it looks like light is just magically floating in the air.

There is a tradition of trompe-l'œil-ish effect in light art, where the artwork reveals it's true composition seen from a specific spot. Here's an example by Marko Bolkovic; Light and Dark. Seen at Vilnius Light Festival in 2024.
