In un'intervista alla Bbc, Carlo aveva rivelato il motivo della sua passione per l'Aston Villa: "Cercavo una squadra da tifare, i miei amici a scuola erano tutti tifosi del Manchester United o del Chelsea, allora ho deciso di scegliere una squadra di meta' classifica, che potesse farmi vivere delle montagne russe emotive".
