Vienna lager from a Lukr faucet is sublime
Good way to enjoy Sunday.
This is still consistently the #1 choice of beers from my friends who’ve tried any given 5-6 beers I happen to have on tap.

And away we go. That lager lag is predictable if you build a good starter and oxygenate well.
Tilt floats on top so says the temp is higher than what my glycol cooled fermenter maintains at the bottom. Then the yeast get their mojo on, the wort circulates and then the temp drops. Boom!
I love the aroma of Vienna malts
Brewing a Vienna lager today - using @akrennmair 1870 recipe again. I will use the Krausen from this for my Märzen next week - brew at the Equinox
Here endeth my second batch of Vienna Lager (@akrennmair 1870 recipe). Will brew again as it is one of my favorite beers. When I finish up great beers like this I really miss my sabbatical. Would have already had another one lagering and nearly ready to tap.
I just discovered that the book that was published to celebrate 100 years of Vienna Lager is now available fully digitized online (for context, this was published during WW2, so expect some... questionable references): https://www.digital.wienbibliothek.at/wbrobv/content/thumbview/2726477
I have an announcement to make: on March 9, 2024, I'll be talking (in German) about Vienna Lager and its history at the Heimbrau Convention at Schloss Romrod.
I won‘t make it on any "40 under 40" in my lifetime anymore, and I can’t invite everybody to my birthday party today, so to celebrate and share the joy of me getting officially old, I decided to make my Vienna Lager e-Book available for free on Amazon. Get it here, only for a limited time (i.e. today): https://www.amazon.com/Vienna-Lager-Andreas-Krennmair-ebook/dp/B08CMH6L9H/
The best time at #Oktoberfest #Munich must have been around 1897, when you could drink Märzenbier and Wiener Kaiserbock from Anton Dreher's brewery in Kleinschwechat near Vienna.
Yes, literally #viennalager served at Oktoberfest!
